I would like opinions on a manga I may make one day.

He's honest (and nasty ). I myself am honest, but I only say honest and potentially hurtful things when people ask for them directly. Niushirra is just the unrestrained honest type like my mom's fiance . He wouldn't even wait for you to ask him if he thinks you're this or that, he'd probably just blurt it out in a conversation. He mostly does this to somefatguy though .

To me, you sound like you're still angry from that topic in skeptics you created a long time ago that was brutally shot down. The one about us psions coming out to the world and exposing ourselves? Well, all I could discuss now is what abilities some of the characters would have and some of the major things that may happen. There isn't much to discuss now. If you want you can just ask me a specific question about it and I'll answer it. As for finishing it before the forums go down, it would take a while to get everything discussed with all the school work I've got on my plate *cough "especially the research paper"*. If the forums are almost closed and I'm not finished discussing this stuff I can simply exchange e-mail addresses with everyone who wants to hear more or we could just discuss it on peebrain's new website . (I prefer e-mail though)

It turns out there is a manga that seems noticibly similar in story line and genre (by genre I mean involving psionic abilities, sorry for the wrong word choice). I'll go into more depth when I've got time. The similar manga is called X Hunter X. Any info./suggestions would be appreciated.

Forget what I said. Also, I realize that this thread is probably going to die quite soon (no responses in days ) and I realize it is pointless for me to bother keeping it up. The last thing I have to say is this: If any of you would like to learn more (/see pictures) about my manga or provide other suggestions just PM me about it. Questions, comments, or suggestions would be welcomed. Take your time, it takes up 5 pages on a word document : I. TK(duh ) (Please forgive me for putting the TK part in outline form, it was a naive mistake) A. bending objects 1. anything from metal, plastic, trees, people , even fire (more to come probably) B. moving stuff 1. people a. bringing them to safety b. distractions (making guards dance against will or scratch their ass . any thing along those lines) c. to create a hostage situation d. threats to extract information (ex. "I'm gonna drop you off this building with my mind if you don't tell me what I want to know bitch!!! ") e. forcing people to open high access doors through retinal scan, hand print identification, etc. 2. corpses a. for covering up tracks/stealth b. moving/propping them up to look as if they're alive (this could serve more than one purpose too) 3. blood- mainly for getting rid of evidence etc. 4. objects a. distractions b. hitting people (lethal or not) c. obtaining unreachable objects/people d. setting up traps without being there 5. pressing buttons a. entering access codes- for stealth or unattainability (like lasers guarding the key pad and such) b. typing on computers- same reason basically 6. opening/closing doors a. (helps set up) traps/distractions C. torturing/ripping up bodies (that's more for the bad guys ) Well, you get the idea Yamamaya . I've probably got even more uses for TK, but I don't have that kind of time. Also, outline form takes too long so I'll just number it! TP GENERAL USE: 1. communicating between members 2. picking up info. from (unsuspecting) enemies/civilians/major character villains LINKING: 1. helps communication and protects incoming outgoing signals between members 2. used to extract info. from enemies in an advanced way 3. there could turn out to be more uses SCANNING: 1. finding out quick info. about enemies, targets, civilians, guards 2. locating certain people via mental fingerprints SHIELDING: 1. securing links between teammates for privacy/safety 2. protecting one's own thoughts from being picked up (these shields would be broken by advanced enemies, resulting in multiple/denser shields as the story progresses) 3. protecting another's thoughts from being picked up (like when an enemy tries to get info. from a target first, Ushima's team would try to protect targets thoughts with a shield(s)) 4. protecting oneself/another(s) from TPS commands (enemy or friendly ) TPS 1. making enemies hurt/kill/knockout themselves 2. extracting info. 3. controlling enemies to get through doors/security systems etc. 4. making enemies kill/hurt/knockout other enemies (no brainer ) 5. luring other enemies into traps 6. distractions 7. getting enemies to kill themselves but making it look like an accident 8. projecting thoughts to other people to create illusions. Advanced practitioners can add other feelings/senses to the illusion (sound, pain, etc.) 9. The possibilities are endless!!! EMPATHY 1. very vague and rare use, usually for torture/healing related cases 2. could be used to calm civilians or Ushima's teammates down during stressful situations PYROKINESIS 1. burning people 2. lighting candles or other objects (for distractions) 3. simply a source of light or heat! 4. lighting camp fires 5. igniting pure oxygen/hydrogen to create explosions 6. blowing up other flammable gases 7. using fire for a signal of some kind at night (running out of ideas for this ability ) 8. destroying evidence-secret documents, corpses, computers/discs! (that hot, yes!) 9. burning down buildings/houses for almost any reason-"Shit! There's a corpse in here Ushima! Let's burn the place down!!!! " USHIMA: "You freakin' pyromaniac! You always make excuses for burning shit down! How 'bout I burn you instead?!!" CRYOKINESIS: 1. preserving stuff (anything from fish to corpses ) 2. freezing people 3. freezing objects/people to make them brittle enough to break 4. freezing doors shut 5. freezing things like computers to make them unusable 6. cooling down food/drinks 7. there could be a hundred uses for this ability LUMOKINESIS (Yes I'd use fluffy terms in the manga instead of saying something like "Ushima, why don't you arrange photons with TK to create light?") 1. blinding people 2. distractions 3. using it to interfere with things like night vision goggles 4. other miscellaneous/advanced use (like with wierd security systems) UMBRAKINESIS 1. stealth 2. scaring the shit out of people 3. distractions (creepy shadow stuff) 4. disorienting enemies 5. tricks (like making a whole place dark causing guard to think the power went off so the gaurd would have to leave post) RV 1. observing enemy movements 2. gathering other visual info. 3. overall reconnaisance 4. keeping tabs on targets/civilians (for protection) 5. many more uses I think HEALING 1. No expanation needed PSI 1. charging up muscles to gain inhuman strength or speed 2. absorbing energy to recharge oneself/abilities (yes, abilities will be limited in order to keep things under control and not too crazy) 3. pain relief 4. psi balls 5. Yamamaya's "Mental Fire" technique where one uses psi to sense objects 6. deadly psi shockwaves (Only Ushima can do it) that can be sharp and very powerful, lethal and dangerous (usually occurs when he's really pissed off/near death) CONSTRUCTS (most uses out of anything probably) 1. making weapons-swords, spears, bows and arrows, revolvers (simple design makes them possible to create), etc. 2. making keys! 3. making traps 4. there are dozens more specific uses that I will not bother thinking up (especially with different types of constructs involving PK, CK, LK, UK, and TK) BIOKINESIS: 1. changing appearances (some people do it to the extreme, most do vague changes that are enough to get them by) 2. healing 3. regeneration 4. making muscles bigger 5. could be more uses AEROKINESIS, AQUAKINESIS, GEOKINESIS occasional use, not that common, mainly used in attacks and may not be referred to by those names ATMOKINESIS AND ATMOSKINESIS 1. I think these are when you create thunder, lightning, and tornados or hurricanes. It would only be used for attacks (most likely) by powerful enemies but could be used by Ushima or someone as powerful later on in very serious and desperate battles. AURA VISION: 1. If you don't believe in it too bad! It'll play an interesting role in certain aspects of the manga. 2. used for determining one's psychic skills 3. used for determining if a person is lying/strecting truth/nervous, etc. 4. used for determining a person's true nature (good/bad as well) 5. there could be more advanced uses for this ASTRAL PROJECTION: 1. reconnaisance 2. solidifying astral body to move objects and interact with things at a safe distance 3. attacking enemies at a safe distance 4. communicating with others in the astral world 5. communication with the dead 6. more uses may follow MADE UP KINESIS: AUDIOKINESIS Creating artificial sound by molding vibrations to the frequency of a certain sound and launching it from where it stands to make it reflect off surfaces fast enough to become audible . 1. it's advanced and would be introduced later on 2. could be used for distractions 3. getting through sound activated security systems 4. confusing/tricking people 5. simply scaring people! 6. more uses encounting SHIELDS IN GENERAL 1. blocking thoughts/feelings 2. blocking TPS projections/commands 3. blocking psi attacks 4. blocking physical attacks 5. cloaking (invisibility) TELEPORTATION 1. No brainer! 2. teleporting objects MATERIALIZATION 1. creating weapons, tools, food, etc. DEMATERIALIZATION 1. getting rid of evidence 2. getting rid of garbage 3. dematerializing enemies (puts a lot of strain on dematerializer though) 4. dematerializing obstacles and from there the possibilities are endless ELECTROKINESIS 1. knocking people out with controlled amps 2. killing enemies 3. artificial power supply 4. traps (charged metal, water, etc.) LEVITATION 1. escaping 2. reaching unattainable places 3. doing airborne attacks CLAIRVOYANCE 1. finding solutions to problems 2. seeing answers 3. premonitions/warnings 4. seeing auras 5. seeing the dead ClAIRAUDIENCE 1. talking to the dead (for advice) 2. hearing solutions/suggestions/answers 3. gathering useful info. (about people) 4. "hearing" an aura PSYCHIC INTUITION 1. doing the right thing at the right time (to solve a problem) 2. getting out of tight situations maybe 3. "knowing" an aura PSYCHIC FEELING 1. "feeling" an aura 2. warnings/gut feelings 3. "feeling" for the right solution PSYCHOMETRY 1. no brainer: finding out info. from objects Some abilities will: barely be used, some will be used all the time, some will not appear until much later on, some will be used throughout the whole story, some will be used through entire parts of the story only (like the ending or middle maybe). These abilities will either: be taught (in exchange for favors), will be acquired through traumatic experiences, mistakes in technique, psychic insight (ex. someone has a vision teaching him/her how to perform an unknown ability), just plain intuition or dumb luck. All the bolded stuff (besides the labels) is new.
