Sean_ asks on April 1, 2004, 12:29am:

Does psipog have a message board? I've seen it mentioned in a few places but I can't find any links to it anywhere on the site. Is there a forum?

Peebrain replies on April 15, 2004, 9:47pm:

We used to have one. Then we got rid of it. Then we brought it back. Then we got rid of it. Repeat that a couple dozen times... Right now we do not have one, and I do not plan on bringing it back anytime soon. Don't hold your breathe.

not_myself asks on April 8, 2004, 10:58pm:

Where are the practice rooms held?

Peebrain replies on April 15, 2004, 9:46pm:

Well... in the practice room Smile. In the chat, there is a seperate room you can go into for practices. If you want to practice with us, just download the chat program, run it, then click on the "Practice" button.

Telekineo1 asks on April 14, 2004, 9:06pm:

I downloaded the chat but I cant open it. What do I do?

Peebrain replies on April 15, 2004, 9:46pm:

You need a program to Unzip it. If you are running Windows XP, you should just be able to double click on the file and it should open up. If you are running Windows 98 or 95, you'll have to download WinZip. Look on www.download.com, and search for "WinZip".

gabreal asks on March 22, 2004, 12:24pm:

I'm just curious as to when the telepathy ethics discussion will be put one the site, if at all.

Peebrain replies on March 22, 2004, 12:27pm:

I never really planned on posting logs of the discussions on the website. I have gotten a few requests though, so I might change my mind on the subject. Perhaps I'll post a select few that we thought were really cool? I don't know, I'll have to talk to everyone else about it, and see what they think.

IdanR asks on March 19, 2004, 1:35am:

Hi.
Does Psipog has schools and academies in the world?
If yes, where? And what is the best? Where can I find details on the academies? And what is required from me to enter to learn in it?

Peebrain replies on March 19, 2004, 12:20pm:

No, we just have this website, and a chat room. We've only been around for a few years Smile.

SKainuiG asks on March 16, 2004, 11:44pm:

I'm just wondering why you guys don't have a weekly or monthly event like every other friday afternoon there's a telepathy party or a pk practice on the first weekend of the month or something. Just wondering, cause the last thing was kind of unscheduled, and I didn't know it was happening, but my point is, if it's scheduled, people can plan farther ahead for it. Just kinda a suggestion and question.

Peebrain replies on March 18, 2004, 12:43am:

Heh, that's actually what we're trying to do now Smile. I've given the mods the ability to schedule stuff on the Calendar, and I've made it so they can easily (hopefully Smile) post a Discussion or Practice, without my permission. So, hopefully, all the mods will start using it randomally, and say if a mod does something once every five weeks, then overall we should have something once a week Smile. The system is in place, and I think it will work nice, but we just gotta wait a while and see how well it turns out.

Nitrox asks on March 17, 2004, 10:53pm:

Hey! I'm developing some very odd abilities in an incredibly short amount of time...and can't seem to find anyone advanced enough to talk to about it

I'd love to get onto the psipog chat to talk with y'all but my school has many ports blocked

Is there any way I can connect using alternate ports?
Thank you much

Peebrain replies on March 18, 2004, 12:41am:

Sorry... the port restriction is based on the chat server, which isn't controlled by me. It's an IRC chat room, which means the port range is 6667-7000 by default usually. There's nothing I can do to change that :-/.

Jooles asks on March 6, 2004, 8:29am:

Im pretty sure this hasnt been asked already but if it has im sorry. Would it be possible to put an online cgi client such as the one available at http://cgiirc.sourceforge.net/. I ask this because this would allow Unix and mac users access to the chat and also people like me who are behind a restrictive firewall. I also know that with the program i have suggested it is possible to stop people connecting to any other servers or channels than the ones you specify. If not thats fine. Thanks.

Peebrain replies on March 16, 2004, 1:49pm:

CGI IRC uses the hosting server to connect to the chat server, then relays the chat information to the end-user via the hosting server. Puts a huge load on the hosting server (i.e., PsiPog.net). For that reason, it's not allowed by my hosting provider, and I agree with their decision.

skello asks on February 18, 2004, 5:02am:

hey

i wasn't quite sure where to put this. well i was just wondering but do you know when you might schedule the next pk party?

and can you please release the chat log for the 7th's pk party

thanx for all your efforts into making this site as great as it is

Peebrain replies on February 24, 2004, 1:18pm:

I don't know when the next PK Party will be. Perhaps in the middle of April or May (2004), around there I would guess. It's still a far ways away, so no real need to start planning now.

As for the log, that is a common request. The thing is, the log really isn't that useful at all. It was basically me giving a small summary of the fork-you.com method, then telling everyone to go meditate for 10 minutes. After that, it was just random discussion for a few hours with a bunch of people, with some bursts of excitement when someone got their spoon to bend. I don't see the educational purpose of having the log... it's kind of like one of those things that you had to be there to appreciate.

CJspowers asks on February 17, 2004, 1:21pm:

I was wonder about radiometers, is there a certain model number or kind that you need or you prefer?

thanks

Rainsong replies on February 18, 2004, 9:35pm:

My personal preference is for whichever kind happens to be available. Quite often, you have a choice of perhaps two or three at most. They all work on the same principle. Edmund Scientific is one of the few places that sells them most of the time.
