igalk474 asks on May 1, 2004, 10:56am:
Do I need a permission to have a link to this site in my web site?
Peebrain replies on May 17, 2004, 9:56pm:
Nope. Though it would be cool if you let me know, I like checking out other peoples sites .
Thalog482 asks on May 6, 2004, 9:58pm:
Why did we switch to DALNET? I mean seriously, we make our big move off of Austnet, to go to Dalnet. Upgrades usually entails becoming better. I suggest Darkmyst.org
Peebrain replies on May 11, 2004, 11:08pm:
Were you around for Austnet? ANYTHING is an upgrade from that. Though I do agree, I'm not entirely pleased with DALnet. I'll be shopping around... keep looking for chat upgrades.
SKainuiG asks on May 10, 2004, 2:16am:
If I was to send in an article, can it be an attachment, or do you have something that will block it if if has an attachment and I need to put it with the e-mail?
Peebrain replies on May 11, 2004, 11:07pm:
Attatchments are fine.
Nappleapple asks on May 1, 2004, 10:20pm:
From what it seems to me, many of the members and visitors to this site are under 16. Just out of curiosity, do you have exact percentages?
Also, is this site supposed to be aimed at younger people or just anyone?
Peebrain replies on May 4, 2004, 1:40pm:
The average age of members is around 18. The site is aimed at anyone who needs help with psychic stuff... so that could be a 14 year old, or a 40 year old.
Kyle_Stoner asks on May 2, 2004, 8:47pm:
This is a half question/half comment. Do you really think taht answers like this help?
"Rainsong answers on May 2, 09:38:
If you hold a penny, it will get warm. It's metal, and most people are "human", a variety of mammal."
It is my perception that this is crap. That is, not helpful in any way. I guess all i really want from this question is: can i help in any way to give better answers to the questions of the patrons of this site, directly or indirectly, because it seems that some moderators are not commited to giving helpful perspectives. Is it time constraint? Stress? I can help. I swear. Love, me!
Rainsong replies on May 3, 2004, 3:33pm:
"Crap" or not, the answer I gave _is_ true. If you have a problem with the way I answer questions here, take it up with Peebrain directly.
It is his site, after all, and you have successfully relayed your frustration about answers not always being what the querant is hoping for. I won't coddle folks. If the effect they ask about is probably not psionic, I will not tell them it is.
Peebrain replies on May 4, 2004, 10:29am:
Are you suggesting that Rainsong is not "commited to giving helpful perspectives"? You've got to be kidding, right? Look around you. At least she GAVE you an answer, I personally would have deleted the original question, and this one too. In regards to the actual comments, her statement was correct. Humans give off heat, and that heat can heat up other objects. Therefore, it shouldn't surprise you when you hold onto something and it gets warmer. If you think the replys are "crap", you're free to not use this site.
Frogslegs asks on March 11, 2004, 2:47pm:
Hello
Ok 1.Why cant you people teach other people even when both people want to do it?
2.Whats up with the votes thing in the member navagation how can you vote and whats it for?
Rainsong replies on March 11, 2004, 5:33pm:
1) There is a difference between "not being able to teach everyone who asks" and "not being able to teach anyone at all". Teaching is time-consuming, and often is hard work. None of us have the time to teach everyone who asks. At least some of us do not have the inclination to do so, either.
2) (not my department; perhaps Peebrain will reply)
Peebrain replies on April 15, 2004, 10:18pm:
2) Planning for the future... it's easier to code in sections now and plug in the right things later, than recode everything. I.e., I plan on putting polls and voting in the future, so those are just some counters I have in place. They don't do anything now...

tenkos asks on April 7, 2004, 8:38pm:
why do we have to be 13 to join the chat?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Rainsong replies on April 8, 2004, 9:19pm:
It isn't an unusual requirement. Why should Peebrain have to deal with matters of "parental consent" in the legal sense, just so he and the other chat-moderators can babysit small children?

Emrys_Ryter asks on March 30, 2004, 1:15pm:
Is there a way that the members of the site can post their own articles? I mean, if they are reviewed, and are acceptable, that is.

Barrier asks on April 11, 2004, 7:24pm:
In Q&A lots of people ask the same questions.
So why dont you make faq? :)
Rainsong replies on April 13, 2004, 10:47pm:
This was intended to serve that purpose. You don't really think that the Fluffy Ones would read the FAQ either, do you?
Peebrain replies on April 15, 2004, 9:49pm:
There are a lot of frequently asked questions . There are a lot of questions in general... it's hard to really condense it into a small document. And Rainsong has a point too.
