lisadare asks on May 5, 2005, 2:01pm:
Hi,
I'm new here and I've found your chat area but I can't seem to find any message boards on this site. Are there any message boards here or is there another site where PsiPog people are posting?
I LOVE your site and think you are providing a crucial service.
Thanks,
Lisa
Rainsong replies on May 6, 2005, 1:18pm:
There have been message boards several times in the past, but they had proven to be too annoying for Peebrain to bother with. Therefore, he took them down.

gummibear2330 asks on April 21, 2005, 10:59am:
about how long does it take to get your question answered if it's a good question?
Rainsong replies on April 24, 2005, 4:10pm:
Whether a question gets answered depends upon whether one of the question-answering folks feels like dealing with it. When a question gets answered is also pretty much dependant upon the whim of those same folk.

pyrodragon asks on February 5, 2005, 12:18am:
what is the server of psipog chat so i can join it on irc?
Yumper replies on April 8, 2005, 11:34am:
You cannot join the psipog chat via IRC, that is means for a perma-ban. Please just use the client (unless a special event is posted when you CAN use IRC).

Telekinetic asks on January 19, 2005, 6:35pm:
Is anyone in charge of this site (such as Peebrain, Rainsong, Not_Important, etc.) aware of or in association with the psions guild? I apologize if this is a false assumption or if this question is simply not allowed.
Rainsong replies on January 23, 2005, 7:27pm:
For the record, I am _not_ in charge of this site. However, yes, I'm both aware of and in association with the Psion Guild.
Peebrain replies on February 7, 2005, 7:18pm:
I am aware, but not in association with them.

Zavik_Tar_Droma asks on December 9, 2004, 7:17pm:
First of all GREAT SITE!
Anyway moving on.
When I try to connect to the PsiPog chat client, nothing happens. I open the client and press the lightning symbol, and it says "*** Connecting to United States: tuath.ny.us.darkmyst.org (6667)..." then almost instantly it says "*** Connected. Initializing..." then I wait and wait and nothing ever
happens. When I try typing in the text field it displays " *** Please wait until the client has connected to the server completely." So I wait some more and I move on to other things occasionally looking back at it. Then I realize its been 2 hours and nothing. What's wrong?
Peebrain replies on December 14, 2004, 4:26pm:
This bug happens when you enter in an illegal nickname in the first box that comes up. To fix it, type:
/resetnick
Then try to connect. It will give you a random nickname that isn't illegal, and then you can just use:
/nick TheNicknameYouWant
After you connect to set up a new nickname.

russianspy3141 asks on November 28, 2004, 5:28pm:
In one of the old polls, you asked what new things people would like to see at PsiPog, and one of the choices was "a way for people to enroll in psi classes". Is there a possibility of that happening?
Peebrain replies on November 29, 2004, 1:02pm:
I don't know... I have mixed feelings about it.
1. It requires a teacher. And teaching something like that is VERY time consuming.
2. Classes benefit only a small group of people. If a log is posted online, it helps more people, but sometimes that's a conflict of interest for the teacher.
3. Choosing students is always a pain in the ass. People get pissed because they aren't "chosen", and all that junk.
But, 4. It really helps that group of chosen students.
I don't know if it's a fair trade. Whenever I think about it, I always think: maybe my time would be better spent on writing more articles, and answering the Q&A, where EVERYONE can benefit. We have over 1000 hits a day... teaching a group of 30 students doesn't seem like it's worth it in the long run.

Waldo asks on November 13, 2004, 8:50am:
Hey everybody.
I sent in a French translation quite some time ago of Yumper's article, "Ways to Build your Psionic Abilities". And I mean quite some time ago. Probably about March. Anyway, do you know what happened to it? I spent a lot of time on it, and I wondered if it ever actually got read or used by anyone.
And is the translation project still going on? I would very much like to do some more translations if they're needed.
Thanks,
~Waldo
Peebrain replies on November 26, 2004, 8:34pm:
Thanks for your submission - we definitly appreciate it.
The problem is that there really isn't enough people to work on everything, so we decided to put the translation project on hold until some time is freed up. We'll still take submissions, but we can't actively keep up with it.
I would suggest just holding off on the translations until we're ready again - we'll have an announcement whenever that is. Thanks for your support .
