lol So far we seem to disagree about everything....but you are right about the birds...However then we'll just use our PK to "glide" around too lol

Also do bugs like flys and bees use the same type of currents?..oo or a humming bird, now he can fly...I'll just flap my psi up and down really fast Smile

a hummongbirds wings (same with insects) has less surface area than a normal bird (seagul for instance) so they have to lap their wings faster to keep up in the air... also, only a theory of mine, humming birds dont have one as many feathers on their wings, and two not as much bone structure therefor having a give... for example, the humming birds wing is on the left, the seagul on the right:

the blue line is the air flowing under the wing, the other bird has more, creating more lift... so the humming bird more floats than glides...

EDIT: f.y.i. the term flying wasn't coined until the industrial age... they refered to bird as soaring, or gliding

Existance.

"I got an idea... ready PSI WINGS"

I agree, it's immature, but we are all guilty of such outbursts, and hated it when we were flamed. Whether or not we justify this, it must stop. Flaming newbies isn't cool!

You can... in theory. However, for generations PSI was hardly ever if at all used, so our talent with manipulating it dwindled. Besides, the human body is designed to push yourself up, and obviously you cant take ALL the energy from your arms.

They also used to think the world was flat, and nowadays facts are still changing..2 more planets and no more pluto Sad

" Unlike other bird species capable of limited hovering, the hummingbird is alone in its ability to fly deliberately backwards or vertically"-Wikipedia. Although it can hover it also flys. They actually discovered it can do this because of the way it flaps its wings...."They showed that because of the limitations of its wing structure, a hummingbird develops only 25 percent of its weight support during the upstroke, while producing the remaining 75 percent during downstroke"...birds are 50%/50% just FYI log2 Wink

interresting find derrick... was that wikipedia?

Looks like I didn't do my research well enough on this one... however the way it describes there, it is only able to fly due to a force using the air, which is similar to what I've said already:
I wrote:
Also flying is completely different, flying has more to do with wind assistance, and an engine to power it
What I meant was air, rather than wind (should have been obvious) and I should have said: mostly uses an engine to power it... or a force that is pushing at a constant acceleration, to get to a constant velocity.
