Is it possible to help out Hurricane victims?

queir_weir Joined: 19 Jun 2006 Posts: 22	Now this may sound ridiculous but, if enough psionics were to gather their strength together would we be able to lessen (even if only the slightest) the effects of hurricanes on areas of the United States that are bound to be pummeled this year? I realize this would take tremendous amounts of energy and skill, but would we be able to possibly say hold back some of the wind, and other weather?

I voted the second option, because I believe the weather should not be tampered with too much, it could cause all kinds of hidden side-effects, so it would need a load of people to really want it (not) to happen.

Lasher Joined: 24 Jun 2006 Posts: 64	I guess it would be like cloudbursting on an enormous scale. I don't think there's enough of us to make a difference in a storm like a hurricane, which can have a magnitude encompassing hundreds, if not thousands of square miles. That seems like just too much.

PsiGuy60 Joined: 05 Jun 2006 Posts: 900	I think its possible, but you would have to do a lot of things simultaneously, like block rain, wind, cope with the weather changing aftereffects, which would make an even bigger hurricane, repeat cycle, repeat cycle etc. Eventually, you will go down because of that cycle

That's what makes me believe it's not possible, at least not for a storm. An idea I had is that, we could find the most adept and gifted person, and use him/her as a channel. Then, everyone else focuses on purely linking and sending energy to the "Channeler". Then this person focuses and concentrates on the storm, and uses the energy given to lessen the strength of the storm or destroy the storm completely. But then again, if you have a lot of people sending energy into one person, that's a lot of energy for just one person. It could leave to permanent physical and mental damage. Or make it several channelers, if not more to lessen the load.

I completely agree with you, it would be worth wild to try it with a few experts manipulating the energy and the rest just holding up a connection to give them energy. I think i will have to gather a group to try this out. If you have any suggestions keep posting them here!
