Pally asks on February 6, 2004, 10:26am:

This is just a simpple improvement suggestion:

Could you add somekind of counter in a Member Navigation Bar
that would show how many [days] [hours] [minutes] there are until the next chat event...

It would be cool to have.

-Pally-

Peebrain replies on February 6, 2004, 1:05pm:

Good idea, I'll try to write that up in the next couple days if I remember Smile. I'll e-mail myself with the suggestion... that should remind me.

Lord_Moe asks on January 22, 2004, 6:31pm:

What is a psi-wheel? Sorry, I'm a newbie, and I just started this stuff.

Peebrain replies on February 2, 2004, 1:18pm:

art-telekinesis-tips.html

That picture on the left that says "Search" is good for searching through the site Smile.

Eldrad asks on January 28, 2004, 5:01pm:

Hello to anyone reading this.

I have a problem about my concentration method. I read NotImportants first telekinesis article and practised for some months on the meditation technique where you stare at a candle for 20- 30 minutes, then practicing on a psi-wheel for up to forty minutes. I always get to the point where I can 'feel' the object but then a condition I have called Tinitis bothers my concentration to the extent where I can't concentrate anymore. tinitis is where I get a constant ringing in my head which I can't shake off, it comes and goes, but gets worse when there is nothing to distract me. Do you think there is any simple way of getting around it, such as music or soothing noices, or should I work harder to drown it out? I've looked all around for a cure, and have tried different techniques, even spiritual healing, to get rid of it. I might be able to move on in my practice whilst I still have it, if I really tried, but my progress would be a lot slower than it could be. Have any of you had any experience of this yourselves?

Rainsong replies on January 28, 2004, 7:26pm:

Tinnitus is relatively common. Don't bother trying to drown it out. Learn to ignore it. Or, conversely, use it to meditate on.

elfangor_3 asks on January 27, 2004, 6:23pm:

Would Hypnosis be a good way to learn these things? I am wondering this because I am trying hypnosis.

Rainsong replies on January 27, 2004, 6:37pm:

Yes, actually, as far as effectiveness goes, at least, hypnosis is useful. Some of the perceptive abilities such as clairvoyance and some forms of telepathy have been noted in hypnotic trance for more than a century. It is very easy to delude oneself with hypnotic suggestion, however, so be very careful to document your results so you can check them later. Otherwise, you might find yourself doing nothing but "pretending", and yet relying on the results.

adoutsider asks on January 20, 2004, 10:38pm:

Ok, to start off with, I am asking an opinion question, and thats what I want, an opintion(Just to see what some of the mods think)

How do you personaly feel about the relationship between psi/wiccan/chaos magick/ki? I'm speaking mostly about the types/differences in the energy, because I know the techniques and results(If any) are completely different.
Ex. Do you beleive the things that drive a wiccan's "spell" are the same that drive a psionic technique?

Rainsong replies on January 21, 2004, 6:06pm:

"Psi" is whatever mechanism allows such effects as psychokinesis and telepathy to occur, in simple terms. Therefore, if you can make those effects happen using a spell, chaos magick, ki, or your own personal army of imaginary purple dinosaurs, then you are using "psi". If your spell, chaos magick, ki, or personal army of imaginary purple dinosaurs cannot/doesn't produce such effects you are not using "psi".

Psi is not specific to any religion, nor is it a religious concept. "Wicca" is therefore not part of the equation at all.

Kshatriya asks on January 20, 2004, 1:39pm:

Which would you say a beginner should start with?
Shielding or TK?

Peebrain replies on January 21, 2004, 12:59pm:

It's really up to you. What interests you the most? What do you consider important? If you really really really want to do TK, and don't care how long it takes, then start in on that. If you want something you can do in a few weeks with some basic practice, pick something easier. Psi balls, shielding, etc...

PSI_Fox asks on January 18, 2004, 12:37pm:

does any one know any little things one can do to help a non get in to psionic's? something i could do like chanaling energy in to there hand or something.

Rainsong replies on January 18, 2004, 6:28pm:

This may come as a shock to you, but most of this site is devoted to exactly that.

gabriel asks on January 11, 2004, 4:55am:

i was wondering how does someone know if they are psion?

Rainsong replies on January 11, 2004, 7:53pm:

If they practice psionics, they are "psions". If they do not practice psionics, they are not "psions". It's really very simple.

Shuriken asks on December 19, 2003, 6:07pm:

Has anyone ever had any success in being able to manpulate thier memory after being proficient in psi related things? I ask because I have some images burned into my mind I would greatly like to get rid of.

Thank you.

Peebrain replies on January 8, 2004, 4:01pm:

I've been there... click on a random link on the internet and you're scarred for life. The way I got rid of the image was to gradually turn it into a "cartoon"-ish image, then alter the cartoon-image slowly. I did that by remembering the image, then I would try to "remember" the image again, and I would recall most of it from memory, but then purposely taint the memory and "see" a different image in my head. Do that for a few days, and it should alter the image enough to where it's just junk.

AKA_Nothing asks on December 30, 2003, 10:52pm:

This sounds completly moronic and newbie but its chewing at mind.... How Come the authors don't teach Attack Tech.s .... now I'm not say some stupid shit like you have some secret reason, but yeah so sorry if this has already been answered and/or in a article I'm stupid for not looking -Dylan Caraway AKA ShadowCreature

Peebrain replies on January 8, 2004, 3:57pm:

We don't teach combat for a bunch of reasons.
1. I don't trust a random joe on the internet with combat information
2. I don't want to attract a bunch of DBZ Goku wanna-be's to the site looking how to beat up the bully in the lunch room
3. I don't want to be the target of someone "practicing" attacks that I taught them
4. Attacking is bad decision in most cases, and most people don't get that
5. The average age of a PsiPog member is 17 years old - they don't need to know how to attack people psionically
6. I'm sure there are a bunch more, that's just what came to the top of my head...
