You're harassed in two possible ways: either you pissed someone off, or someone didn't like you. People just don't waste time attacking random persons. Unless they're stupid, they'll think two times before attacking someone, you never know when you mess with someone far more experienced than you're expecting.

And, in whatever case it may be, just shield. Eventually they'll get annoyed or too strained and will leave you alone. Simple as that.

yea i was going to attack one of the mods from UPC (you know who you are) but i changed my mind because i knew i would get creamed

I taught my friend how to make people itch, then he did it to me: I gave him a headache in return. It was totally stupid in hindsight, though, and I won't do it again.
