?????? what is the truth: telekinesis or parakinesis??

its telekinesis/psychokinesis, not parakinesis, ive never even heard of that word so i highly doubt its the correct term.

Psychokinesis > Telekinesis, Cryokinesis, Pyrokinesis, Electrokinesis, and other fluff terms.

Psychokinesis is the main thing.
Telekinesis is a type of psychokinesis.

Well, Psychokinesis is the direct mental manipulation of one's surroundings. Manipulation of a person's thoughts and movements is known as Telepathic Suggestion (TPS).

Parakinesis is a word I've heard, but I can't remember where I heard it, or what it was used to refer to. I'll look it up, and get back to you on that.

Think of it this way:

Psycho - Mind
Kinesis - Moving
PsychoKinesis - Mind Moving

(Same with Tele - Distance)

Tele - Distance
Pathy - Cognition, thinking
TelePathy - Distance Thinking

Parakinesis probably derives from para, meaning outside, alternate as in parapsychology (which deals with this stuff), and kinesis being moving. Moving through alternate physical means.

Well, there are a lot of names for it. Obviously, wherever he's from, they have a different word for it.

In English, at least, the two terms are telekinesis (movement from a distance) and psychokinesis (movement with the mind).

I think scientifically speaking, most people use psychokinesis nowadays, but telekinesis is still used interchangeably with the other.

I'm not familiar with "parakinesis," but I do know pyrokinesis (manipulation of fire) is definitely not PK/TK.

Well, not technically, it's still moving something with the mind. It's just moving... fire.

Pyrokinesis is a fluff term, to let everyone know. It's properly used as PyroPK, as you're just manipulating the fire molecules, like you would with any other PK.

Parakinesis isn't even a word, let alone a term. The way I see it the only thing you can do to another person's mind is link with it, suggest your own thoughts to it. The choice whether or not to accept your suggestion is still ultimately up to the person themselves. Draining? Manipulating? You'd have to have some kind of control of the person's mind, which is impossible. Nothing in telepathy deals with with control over the other person's mind, its a link, you share eachother's thoughts, you can suggest with your own thoughts but you can never force someone's mind into doing something.
