After a lot of practice and a conveniently-timed lucid dream, I finally got out!! W00T!! Very Happy

So I was wondering: Which method do you use to get out of body?

cool Smile i guess lucid dreams are a stepping stone for OBE's but lucid dreams seem hard...cause everything in a dream seems real and its like i never question it lol but i have known i was dreaming before but i got scared and kep screaming (in my dream) till i woke up that was years ago i wish i could know i was in a dream like that again Razz

I lay in my bed until my body falls asleep. After about a hour of getting really itchy, the numbness starts to kick in. After the viberations start, I clear my mind and try to keep my slow breathing rate. after a little while when I feel comfortable that I will OBE, I'll lift my arm out of my body. If that works then I'll try to roll out of my body.

I clicked OTHER on the poll:

What I do differently. I'll sleep really good the night before so I have tons of energy. Then I will work out for a couple of hours to get my body tired without exhausting my mind.

After a cardio endurance work out I find it easier for my body to fall asleep at night. Personally strength training doesn't keep my body exhausted for as long, which is a problem because I exercise during the day and OBE at night. Also over the long term having good cardio will make it easier to breath slow and keep a low heart rate when you make the transfer from viberations to OBE. Once your heart starts beating fast your not going to OBE, unless you start over.

When I look at something long enough, I seem to trance out.. the gravity is like in totally awkward direction (to front or up). And when I look around I can't tell how large are the objects that I see because they seem to be very big and tiny at the same time.

My method:

Right before you go to bed, do a reality check every 5 minutes or so, and ease into sleep like you are trancing out for an OBE. That usually works for me. When you start to notice your thoughts aren't making any sense and it feels like you are in 2 different worlds at once, instead of waking yourself up, let it go.

In a dream, if I reality check, something weird'll happen, like my fingers will melt together or I'll start levitating, so I know it's a dream. After that my mind feels like its in this drunken stupor, hard to think, but still able to comprehend (sorta).

All my lucid dreams are the same, my vision is distorted almost like a fish-eye lens type effect, and I'm usually floating around doing something completely random, or lifting everything in the room up and spinning it around with PK. Very Happy

When this happeded, did it seem like it does in real life, I mean like close to it? Or is it sort of like a meditating picture that isn't all real?
