Well actually, I was referring to how these drawn out concepts in movies become entrenched in the minds of neophyte psions. They see a kickass movie with psychic combatzoorrzz, and the first place they go is to google.com which eventually leads them to communities like Psipog.

Certainly all the stuff you see in these movies have a basis in some verifiable psionic abilities, the problem is many people don't seem to understand that what they are seeing is an exaggerated demonstration of these abilities, especially younger enthusiasts. Then they come to the communities seeking these exaggerated abilities. See what I mean?

That's a good point. Hopefully there could be some way to make it obvious that the exaggeration is, well, an exaggeration.

The movie looks terrible anyways. I highly doubt it'll spark interest into psioincs..it'll just make it look more fake.

Maybe they come to the commmunity with delusions of attainable omnipotentness, but at least they come Razz Maybe we can tell them what the truth is and they might still like it.

Well the movie was pretty good. Thicker plot-line then I suspected. But ofcourse, Hollywood did their magic to turn it fluffy to the max.
