I stated trying the psi wheel yesterday, and I succeded in abot 5 minutes, making it spin counterclock wise a few rotations. After that I wasnt able to make it spin at all, only wiggle a little bit.
Now tonight when I tried I got it to spin a few times again, then no success. So I was browsing the forums, with my left hand near the wheel, "asking" it to move, and whatdo you know? It stats spinning, slowly but at a smooth, constant pace. But whenever I look at it, it slows down and stops, and only wiggles a little bit. It seems I can only make it spin when I'm not completely concentrating only on it. So has anybody else had this problem? |

It's called indirect attention, or something like that. Try reading some of the PSIPOG articles on PK.

I got it now. After about another two hours of practicing last night, I retty much got the hang of it.
Now the only weird thing is, ususally my left hand makes it go clockwise, while my right makes it go counter clockwise Edit: Try being happy/in a good mood. That helped me gain better control over it. |

not saying you didnt move it, but the funny thing is, everytime i place my psi wheel right by my desk and computer, it moves...not because of me, but because of the air current in my room...i dont see how no one else's air currents makes the psi wheel move when its on their desk...???

no, I know I'm moving it because it'll only move if I try to get it too. It wont move if I just leave it alone.
I've also tried it in different parts of my dorm. |

Its just your mental perception of it. You associate which way it should go with which ever hand you are using sub-conciously. |
