Anyways, yeah they tell you to get energy from wherever you feel is right. Examples include the Earth, moon, sun or most likely yourself.

My sternum and belly button seem to do well, but a computer monitor or lightbulb can also work.

I get my energy from almost anything. The sun's rays, a cold stream, trees, people (Twisted Evil), whatever. I usually use this energy towards psi-balls or telekinesis. If you save up energy after charging regularly for a day or so, you should get some pretty surprizing results.
