Last night, i got so close to a lucid dream. I was dreaming (i remember it perfectly) and i said "This is just like a dream" and someone next to me said "This is a dream". Unfortunatly, i then woke up. Any tips on staying asleep longer? |

You could try closing your blinds before going to bed...that helps me sleep later
It's possible that when you realized that you were dreaming you got over excited and woke yourself up. Did you wake up around the normal time you wake up, or in the middle of the night? |

Just remember when you become lucid to remain calm, if you get over excited you will wake up. Also, I was told then when you first start to lucid dream your subconscious thinks that you should not be asleep well you consciousness is awake so it wakes you up. This will improve as you continue to lucid dream more. ![]() |

Exercise some during the day. Go to sleep on a good bed. Go to sleep at about the same time every night. Don't eat anything big before sleeping... if you're hungry eat a small snack. Don't drink too much right before sleeping or you'll wake up to go to the bathroom. So on and so on. |

thanks guys. What is funny is that after i woke up (it was around 4:00 am), i fell back asleep, saw the same guy and said conciously (but in my dream) "Oh, its you again". I then woke up again. I knew i was dreaming but i woke up again. It was then my normal wake up time. Thanks again. |
