Should we copy and paste the books that were already on the thread that talked about books or what?
Finally! I found it, here is what I am talking about: http://www.psipog.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2038

I am not sure if we should leave it up to the posters to copy and paste or not though. But by the way, I think it is a cool idea about this thread Peebrain.

What about

Psychic Development For Beginners by Bill Hewitt?

That book OWNZ. In fact, it's my favorite.

You Are Psychic! by Pete J. Sanders was good too. The whole idea that you dont have 5 or 6 senses but 9 was dope.

Psychic seeing
Psychic hearing
Psychic feeling
and psychic knowing.

Really good read. I go by the nine senses idea all the time.

Umm, sorry to bother this thread once again but I have both of the books that TheTelepath mentioned and I would like to be more respectful towards the author of "Psychic Development for Beginners."
On the book, the author writes his name like this: William W. Hewitt

Yeah, and the book "You Are Psychic!" the author's name is printed like this: Pete A. Sanders Jr.
But I am not sure if any of that stuff matters, but I feel that it does.

Just typed it the way amazon had it to eliminate confusion and increase ease.

Really? When you click on the links of the books that Peebrain titled it has a link to Amazon with a picture of the book and in the pictures you can see their names. And their names were in the way that I said. Well, I was just trying to be respectful to the authors, it's up to Peebrain for what should be done, I guess.

For plain, yet clear information and excersices on how to develop your psychic skills, read:

Develop your psychic skills - Enid Hoffman
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/091491829X/sr=1-1/qid=1155772111/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-7216949-6065653?ie=UTF8&s=books

In the same tradition of The Celestine Prophecy, already mentioned by Peebrain in his first post, this book continues to philosophize about our personal energy-fields and how to affect them to our likings. It shares insights on how to raise your energy/vibrational level so you can have alot more influence on your surroundings, other people, and the outcome of your life:

The secret of Shambhala - James Redfield
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0446676489/sr=1-2/qid=1155772167/ref=pd_bbs_2/002-7216949-6065653?ie=UTF8&s=books

If you want to learn about the mind, though not for the reason of obtaining powers, this is a very effective bestseller to get to know yourself a little better:

The power of the Now - Eckhart Tolle
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1577314808/sr=1-1/qid=1155772345/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-7216949-6065653?ie=UTF8&s=books

If you want to know even more detailed things about the mind, how to train it, how to use it, how to focus and master it and how to obtain it's remarkable powers and skills, this one will do you alot of good:

The yoga Sutra's of Patanjali - Translation and commentary by Sri Swami Satchidananda
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0932040381/sr=1-1/qid=1155772448/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-7216949-6065653?ie=UTF8&s=books

The above-mentioned is not religional though the title of the book might give that impression. The yoga sutra's are just ancient scriptures optimized through time, self-science and self-observance. They are all about the science of the mind.

MA

Ps. Peebrain: What book do you suggest as being best when it comes to Astral travelling? Thanks.

Hello everyone,

One book that I'll recommend reading would be Keith Miller's book Psychoenergetics: Principles and Practice: An Introduction to Psychic Energy. It's an outstanding book that is well written with excellent information concerning psionics.

I'll add more books that I feel members should read however, I'm currently busy. I just had to add Keith's book quickly before I have to get going. Smile

I have to recommend these books by James Redfield.
I find them very interesting, and I found a lot of truth in these books, even though they're fictional stories.

The Celstine Prophecy

The Tenth Insight

The Secret of Shambala

Here's one he wrote that we easily can relate to.

Who here (out of those who've finished reading it) can tell me what's covered in ACIM and how good it is?

I've contemplated buying it before, but wasn't sure about it. I just need some more in-depth intel regarding its quality of information and readability.
