What operating system do you use the most? Or consider the best for whatever you do the most. Preferably use the most because you want to use it.

I had to delete a lot of the options I put up because of the code :/

Why'd you put Vista up there? Only the demo's out. My uncle'd be angry that you didn't add Linux Razz

Because a lot of people use Vista.

Windows XP. It's easy and for the lazy nerds. Never had any problems and I'm not a fucking nerd that'll waste the time to mess with linux as for a use.

Video game compatible too.

I mainly use WinXP, as I have absolutely no reason to use any of the linux distros. I was using Ubuntu for a while there, and I've tried other distros, but I just don't have a use for them. It's like... what's the point of having them if you aren't going to use them?
Until linux gains more support from gaming companies (and other companies, such as Adobe, etc.), linux will suck. It's great... people won't use it until it has more of what people want on it, but it won't have more of what people want on it until the companies see enough people using it to make software for it. :(

I've never heard of most of those OS.

Windows XP for me. I like it because "XP" looks like a smiley.

For most of the things I do (music, 3D art, Java) MacOS would be fine (or better?), but I don't have a Mac, and I like to play games now and then, so XP for me. Sad

My specific OS wasn't up there so I picked Fedora. I use a VERY customized version of PCLinuxOS. I'm actually going to be putting out my own distros soon (A workstation version, media center version, and a server).

Fedora/Red Hat -> Mandriva (aka Mandrake) -> PCLOS -> Stony's Thing

Fuck both MEPIS and Ubuntu. MEPIS Is an unstable piece of ... I dont even know. Its some hybrid of Debian stable, testing, and unstable, that doesn't work very well together at all. Ubuntu gets too much credit, and its really not all that sweet. "OMG what about XGL?" XGL is nice eyecandy, but it only works well in Gnome. Once they get it out for KDE, Ubuntu wont have anything new and flashy.

The only really innovative Linux I have seen in a while is SymphonyOS. Check out their Mezzo desktop. They've got some cool stuff going on there.

And Windows. Well, not much to say here. Only pick it if you're a gamer or too stupid to use Linux. Or if you like viruses and such. The only time I"m in windows is to use Finale 2003 because I've had a hard time getting it to work really well under WINE.

I find macs are so full of themselves, seems like all they brag about is processing text, and you can have nice visual onscreen calendar. No wonder why they don't crash, they barely use any intensive programs. I tried using programs that were for the PC, and they crash and BURRRRN! another thing macs can't do? right click.*is done flaming macs*
I like XP because it can play alot of games, and I don't need any of that crazy visual crap. Just load my games/internet, play my music, and no one gets hurt.
