Could someone please lend a helping hand(physical or otherwise Smile )? I'm having a bit of trouble setting my avatar: it doesn't accept the Jpg stream when uploading, and when copying the link to the picture, it won't display it in the profile, or the forums. It's below the threshold in every way(120*120 pixles, 14KB), so I don't know what the problem is.

By the way, it is a macrophoto of my own iris, pasted onto a black background. I call it "Eye of the beholder"... Very Happy If you happen to like it, feel free to use it anywhere you like...

Just go to your profile, and at the bottom, put that link in the "Upload Avatar from a URL" option. If that doesn't work, host the image on ImageShack and try again.

Or...you could save the picture on to your computer and just load it with the nifty browse button you have there, that's what I did Razz

It wont work, because the server keeps popping up several error messages, stating it will not accept the jpg stream.
The exact messages:

That's what I tried for the first time, otherwise I would not have asked for help. Please read the whole post next time, thank you...and apologies if I offended you.

I might try ImageShack, I hope that will work. Before that, I used a hungarian imagehosting service. Do you think that might have been the problem? Possible, though highly unlikely... Confused

Nope, still not working...uploaded to Imageshack, and copied direct link, but still won't display... Sad

Try optimising it a bit more. sure. it's 14.03 Kb now. but i could be the 0.03Kb that's causing the problem.
