Some need to experince it first.(Like riding on a bike with another person who can ride a bike) Even you Randi can do Psionics. In fact probably you have done some of this stuff. Commonly Luicd dreaming, clairvoyance but you just dont reconise it as "super natraul" See if you do this your giving away 1 million dollors.(of course your not going to) -ENtoMT

But anyway, Randi's challenge is flawed because it requires 100% accuracy, which is like expecting a pro basketball player to make every shot he attempts. Randi is a much bigger jackass than this guy, understandable since he's like 300 years old, and therefore probably in a lot of pain. anyway, whenever a serious claimant of so-called supernatural powers applies, he's refused. Like that Breatharian guy, although Randi claims that that's for the Breatharian's safety *snorts* not saying the breatharian's real, just saying: James Randi runs away James Randi runs away When a true psi rears his lovely head he boldly turns his tail and... er fleds? and Livestrong's avatar proves he's a hexagram.

Lightbringer Joined: 29 Jan 2006 Posts: 293	Whether the person with the James Randi account on Psipog is actually who he claims to be or not, I have a point to put forward which very simply shows the challenge James Randi presents is impossible. He wants a psychic to participate in the "double blind study". Now for all who don't know, the double blind study is a scientific process of testing drugs whereby neither the experimenter nor the subject knows whether that particular person took a placebo or the actual drug. This eliminates the factor of psycho-somatic illness as well as healing simply because one believed they took the real drug and expected it to work. Ultimately, it negates the factor of human intention or desire for the drug to work. Now in psionics, the very essence of say telekinesis is to use one's own desires/willpower/intent to cause the movement of an object without using convential physical means. So how can one be expected to perform a task REQUIRING intent when the study directly implies intent is to be eliminated from the results? So whatever the experiment is, the task would be impossible unless you got phenomenally lucky and geisted every single time they tested whether you could do what you claimed to. Personally I have doubts Randi even knows what a double blind study is or his challenge would simply require a person to sit in a room with equipment for testing whether the conventional circumstances people use for the denial of psychic powers were actually causing the phenomenon. So monitoring of drafts in the air, heat from one's hands, etc. and how they all affect the psiwheel would be required. This would simply be backup though to prove that whatever equipment being used to create experimental conditions such as insulating gloves, a draftless room, etc. were actually maintained.
