I think michellethemit is making a religius statement because that emplies that a fetus is alive.

Two theories I have on this:
1. It could have somthing to do with astrolygy, being born at the exact time and all. or,

2. it could be because the genes would be very close, and so your brains would be "on the same frequancy".

That could be true michelle, since for 9 months it's just the twins by themselves, and yes i have spent 9 months cramped next to my brother thank you Razz

hmm...I like theory #2 of yours better Intrepidus. To me it seems more logical. I believe that that theory would work better with identical twins because they're from the same egg so they'd have a better chance of "same frequency" but i think it can still work for fraternal twins. I also think it's nuture too as well as nature. If twins bond a lot when they're young...always together whether playing, eating, sleeping, you name it their friendship and appreciation/understanding for one another will increase and so will the "vibe"

I'm a triplet (non-identical), and we share the same sort of bond...only notice it rarely, but it's there.

I think it is more that you spend all your time as a child with your twin that gives you a special bond than genetics or whatever. Early childhood has such a big impact on how your mind is shaped and if you have the same person with you from birth a large portion of the time you are going to have a special link with them.
But what do I know... I'm an only child...

same here...more common then rare, but still not very common lol...

lol...so am i ikthillion , yes i agree nurture has a part, to me more than nature, but the natural bond is there nonetheless

I had a brother [not twin, 10 years older than me], but he died few years ago. I am absolutely sure that there's some kinda connection, even if you weren't twins, 'cause I knew when the accident happened to my brother, and I knew when they removed him from breathing apparatus. It was a bomb accident, and I felt just like I were in his place taking the shot, so there must be something.. Rest In Peace [or should I say pieces Sad ] my lovely brother..

sorry to hear about your brother Sad . Yes there does seem to be a connection if what you said happened.

Seeing as how you're not twins, it would have made it harder , unless you guys were very close...
