I decided to start up my own site....., i'm hoping to get some article writers(don't bullshit), so anyone that is interested contact me via pm. The site will be up in 1-3 days(microsoft frontpage is a jackass, and i have to sneak on my moms comp to use it until i can get the software). The site's url is www.psionicheaven.tk , and will be open soon.

Although, i did manage to get the forum up. Feel free to sign up, new members are appreciated.....Plus skinning it was a pain in the ass Mad (coding sucks). the url to the forum is www.psionicheavenforum.tk

First off, get some good hosting.

Secondly, you need to have a goal for your site, something that makes it stand out. If you do a site about "everything" you're basically just mimicing psipog, and not offering anything new.

Also, take it from me, as I have experiemce with this. .tk domains suck.

Note, please dont use frontpage. It adds lots of XML elements you dont actually need, it also is VERY sloppy. If you want to make a good website, learn to code for yourself. Get away from doing traditional HTML and use XHTML 1.0 Strict, and for god's sake, learn CSS, it will make everything run faster and easier.

Just some advice comming from someone who had to learn the hard way.

i used css to skin the forum, but, i'm not too experienced with it...although, i think i did a good job (considering the circumstances).

As, for the .tk domain, i can't afford to pay for a .com domain (i'm 14, and i have to use the job to help pay for the bills, but at the time the amusement park i work at is underwater due to some floods). Since .tk doesn't display ads on the the site, i figured it was better than a subdomain...

Anyway, i plan on having many seminars etc. (A LOT) Also, there will be some VERY original things on the site (once its finished) to make it unique. Things no other site (psionics related) have.

Well, thank you for your opinions Smile , everything is needed as i said.
