it seems that people are adding kinesis to make new forms of psychokinesis but get one thing straight people aerokinesis, pyrokinesis, thunderkinesis,biokinesis...etc it is still Psychokinesis

another peice of matter, matter is matter THERE IS
NO DIFFERENCE"(Pee Brain, July 24, 2004)

So why do people continue making stupid names? its all the same in the end

aerokinesis is a fluff term, i also think the practice itself is full of fluff and completely pointless, i mean why would you want to move air, i just dont see a point, and besides, the wind shifts the air, so why would you need to (not targetted at you)
Very Happy

people do it to catagorize it. It's quite hard to say what you're using psychokinesis for if you say psychokinesis.

It's not that hard..
You just say it? "I am trying to move wind using psychokinesis"
"Im manipulating fire with PK" etc

I think it makes the most sense to say "aero-PK", "pyro-PK", etc. That way you're sticking with the fact that all those things are psychokinesis, and also specifying in only two or so syllables what sort of thing you're doing with PK.

i dont know why you make that big problem guys they are all the same and everyone know aerokinesis, pyrokinesis, thunderkinesis, biokinesis and psychokinesis or use other things like manipulate wind , manipulating fire , aero-PK and pyro-PK .

other ex: my name is ahmed some people call me hamada , others call me hamoda and some call me with my father name lol , and everyone is the same thing. you got the message ?

edit : some people like to call things with the name that feel comfortable to it or like the name of its names more than the other names so they choose that name .

Thunderkinesis? Confused

Personally, I like to call the whole phenomenon psychotelekinesis instead of psychokinesis or telekinesis. Mostly because it's much more descriptive than either of the two term; "psycho" meaning mind, "tele" meaning far, "kinesis" meaning movement. I don't think that "telekinesis" on it's own is descriptive enough. The literal meaning of the word could also mean stuff like magnetic effects, since they move stuff without touching them. So, I added the "psycho" part to make it clear that this is far-movement caused by the mind.

The other reason is that it's longer than telekinesis and psychokinesis. Smile

Haha yes, very true.

While certain terms may be the best when it comes to being semantically and scientifically accurate, there will always be layman's and slang terms - whatever words the majority of the relevant population use in everyday conversation - for these things.

You can't stop slang. Very Happy

The only way I would think of possibly divide them, is by force, heat, and other sensations. Yes yes I know, PK is PK.. too general for me XD
