Which skill do you think would be more useful Pyro-PK or Cyro-PK. I'm undecided on the issue, and want to see what other people think.

I myself believe Cryo is more useful, but that's my opinion... there's probably more who'll say Pyro, so I won't bother explaining myself.

You would be able to cool yourself down with Cryo but if you tried that with Pyro you'd torch yourself Very Happy . So for that and other reasons I would say Cryo. (I even tried it once, no such luck).

I say they are equal (for some reason I think I spelled that wrong...). Each have their own good and bad qualities. Smile

Watch your glossary, buddy. The words 'pyrokinesis' and 'cryokinesis' are considered fluff on this forum. Wink

Personally, I think heating things with PK would be more useful than cooling things wth PK, but also more dangerous to practice before you get good enough control.

Neither is truthfully better then the other, Pyro and Cryo PK are just the opposite ends of the spectrum. Each has their own unique uses and effects, so it's not about which one is better overall, but which one is better in a given situation.

I'd say that they are the same thing anyway. Its like asking the question: Is it better to roll something forward or roll something back?

I mean in the end, your learning to master temperature - the degree of heat energy in an object.

yeah, but ur not gonna keep a thing of milk cold in the desert useing cryo, but you could do all kindsa cool things with pyro. IE lighting candles, cigerets, fire logs, stoves, etc.

We all know that pyromaniacs are more common than cryomaniacs...

Burn, baby burn! w00t.

Pyro all the way. And then a little bit of cryo every now and then to stop overheating. xD

Actually, if you look at the sticky topics, bob_stew, Cryo-PK and Pyro-PK aren't fluff terms.

Just because there are more casual means of usage doesn't mean its better, we identify more with fire since its a main part of humanity and technoligy, but cold is very useful as well.

    -Cool down over heating equipment
    -Put out fires/cigerettes/logs/stoves
-Cool down on a hot day
-Apply cold to a wound to help lessen pain
    -Keep a drink cool

The list can go on, but you get my point.

ShadowWolfX is right. A use of cryo is cooling your beer before you drink it Cool and other things like that

This is kind of a pointless discussion if you consider what you're arguing over....

Pyro-PK and Cryo-PK are the same thing: changing the temperature of an object. The only separation between the two is relative terminology. For example, you could say you are heating an object relative to its original temperature, but it could still be much colder than the surround environment.

A similar argument would be: Which is more useful, multiplication or division? These two 'separate' operations could emcompassed as the same thing. For example.... 4 / 2 = 2, but you could also write this as 4 * (1/2) = 2
