Is it possible to link with someone that you don't see on a normal basis? Like over the internet or something?

Yes, and relatively common. Links have a tendency to develop with individuals with whom we have constant, regular contact, be it on- or off-line.

Please be careful about forming permanent links with others. Some links are very difficult to break and can be very painful if/when you do sever them... trust me, I know from experience.

Its a really long story... the short of it though is that the other person was going through something traumatic at the time and my empathic/telepathic abilities drew me in and linked to his mind, and sort of fused us together for a while... we couldn't sever the link untill much later, and it was difficult to sever.
