I am pretty sure I have a natural empathic ability, but I am no way boasting this. It really is not all it is cracked up to be and I think anyone who has practice this knows it. I am working on my sheilds right now so I can sheild against empathic junk but I have a question.
Not only do I sometimes recieve others feelings but I also recieve physical ailments. Like headaches, stomach aches, etc. Is this a normal empathic ability or is it unique or is it simply my imagination? (I doubt the last one) Thanks ![]() |

When i make a feeble attempt to use my empathic ability, sometimes i feel a sudden adrenaline rush or anxiousness. Other times a stomachache or headache or feeling exhausted. These things should be taken as if its a good thing. Atleast you know that your empathy is working good enough.

When i practice empathy i sometimes pick up physical ailments such as headaches aswell, i don't think it is uncommon but i might be wrong. Also when i am in big crowds such as exam halls i get really lightheaded and it sometimes becomes hard to breath, its gotten quite bad in some cases but then i guess that is my fault because ive never really bothered with shields even though i practice empathy, i guess its self inflicted lol. well i hope i didn't go too off topic but like The_Ghostman said atleast it shows that you have strong empathic abilities ![]() |

No, I mean I get the exact symptoms from the other person. I was just using stomach aches and head aches as examples.
The most recent case is that I have 'caught' broncial pneumonia from my little brother. Not cool. You can't really catch pneumonia, but after a week or so I developed the exact symptoms my brother had; lacking one, weezing. So that is just one example of many. |

My guess is that you developed an empathic link that can both receive emotions and physical stimuli. You might have made the link accidentally, subconciously, unconciously or it might have come with your high ability of being empathic.

Funny, I've never recieved anything like that. I have sent it accidentally, however. I get minor headaches when I get extremely upset or angry at something. Sometimes my friends complain about sudden massive headaches when I am nearby and upset...
