Do you think it'd be possible to make a construct to protect your private stuff? E.G a shield that inflicts pain when you touch it, or more subtly one that makes the "victim" think, "no, I don't care about this anyway, so I might as well go away" or something..
Could be very useful if you have secrets to.. keep secret?

Since there is so little known about Psi,pk, shields ect.
i think that it might be possible.

well some shields actually keep people from seeing inside your head. like a cloaking shield would make it seem as if your not even there to the person. but i do like the sheild that inflicts pain on incoming foreign psi(to help you out Wink )

Yeah im sure that can be done. There wasn't anything on the voting that said Yes, but anyways...

You just have to put some empathy inot a construct and leave it where you want and it should make any intruders get the feeling that you want them to feel. e.g. What was I doing here? OR I don't want to do this.

Yeah constructs that broadcast things like "Om-fug I left something in the oven" are possible. I'm almost positive pain is possible too, but I've never done it.

I'm sure it's possible. I sometimes put a shield in my door to convince people they don't want to go in my room. I havn't tried putting it around an object though, sounds like a cool idea. I might try that.

yeah this is possible. the pain they would feel is just programing an unpleasant tactile sensation when the item is touched.

also, Apollo, i'm not trying to be rude, but why was he warned about this topic? i see this as more of a defense, just like regular sheilds...i don't think he was implying combat at all...but that's just how i interpretted it. (again, not trying to be rude or a jerk, just wondering.)

Inflicting pain is combat I guess..=/

^lol^ ANYWAYS.....you could probably also put a cloak sheild around the object to make it less noticable. since we can make one around ourselves, we should be able to put them around objects.
