I'm not a skilled at RV, but I've tried RV a few times. Often when I first close my eyes, I'll start seeing crazy patterns and sometimes colors in the black background. Does anyone else experience this too?

I'm not sure if I'm getting close to a successful RV or if my mind is just making random shapes and patterns.

I would not know what that is, but yes, I would say it is random colors and stuff from your eyes or mind.

Yeah i get that aswell. I believe it is information but it could be AOL or just light.

ur not closing ur eyes 2 tighten?
if u push ur eyes u see colours to.
atleast i have.

but other then that, i really wouldnt know tbh.
anyway, goodluck with the practice.

If you're in a proper environment with few inclemencies, I would consider this information down the signal line, and I would note it on the paper as colors, depending on the protocol you're using. If you're in an improper environment, it's likely interference.

What protocol system are you using? Different protocols access the signal line differently.

you might just be looking at your eye lid. you know how when you close your eyes sometimes you see lines? well those are your veins. there are other light related things that go on when you close your eyes. things sort of like afterimages (i think thats the word). so it may not be rving...its kind of hard to answer this question since its not detailed enough, but i dont know how much more detailed you can get.

i guess all i can say is keep on practicing and the more your mind becomes acquainted w/ the skill you'll eventually be able to tell. good luck! Very Happy
