I have been making shields and I want to know if visualizng it as a psiball and stepping into it or just building it around you is better and also if you make a force shiled if you need a fair amunt of talent in pk

Whatever works better for you. I find making one around myself easier and more effective than 'stepping into one'. But thats just me!

As for the force shield, are you thinking along the lines of Force Bubble? If so I'd say, you need somewhat decent control over Psychokinetic ability, to then put it into a shield.

Force bubbles in shield form are difficult, be prepared for some long, gruelling practice, and some headsplitting headaches.

lol, yeah, school and parents make it difficult to practice sometimes. I usually don't get any time alone to do so until after 12 at night, btu I can't do that on school days...

try charging your skin and visualizing/feeling it become more solid. or, visualize while projecting energy out of the crown of your head and "oozing" over the rest of your body (like honey). these are some effective techniques, at least for me.
