Block/filter noise?
Block/filter dreams? (or maybe not since they're internal?)

Intensify incoming signals? (telepathic/empathatic)

Just curious on these, thanks for any opinions =)

noise would be tough, otherwise anything that is trying to get into your head you should be able to shield it in some way or another.
An attempt to try and block internal things would be called repression, that might not be a good thing to do.

It would if you used it to stop horrible nightmares. If I could be arsed to do it I would. I have the same one every time from the age of ...well, since I can remember.

To block dreams, you could have a construct monitor you while you sleep, and project another dream over the nightmare if it pops up.
I'm not sure filtering noise is possible, but blocking it should be possible with a shield with psychokinetic abilities.

Amplifying telepathic signals is fairly simple, but make sure you have the amplifier feeding off you or something, or it'll die quickly.

Hm, thanks for the responses.

Vlad, if you can use a shield to block noise, shouldn't you be able to filter it as well by reprogramming your shield to not block certain voices, or something similar?

It would take a hell of a lot of energy to make a shield that filtered noise, and pretty decent programming too. Iv'e never heard of it being done before. Possible though.

If you can block it all together, then yes, you must be able to filter it to specific people and animals. Sorry for answering that when it wasn't directed at me. It's my opinion not vlads. Embarassed

To block sound, you'd be constantly emitting some sort of counter-vibration. A counter vibration wouldn't differenciate between different people's voices and such.
You can program psi, but not kinetic energy.
