Well since we're discussing caffeine, my favorite things lets discuss lethal doses eh?
The minumum lethal dose ever reported was 3200 mg. Heheheh, caffeine is good and all but don't overdose too much. Energy drinks range from 100-150 mgs, usually but some get higher. If you hit a high enough dose you'll start to hallucinate, get the shakes, babble on and on about nothing. Energy drinks are mostly hype though, some of em don't do much, and those that do are usually smaller. Bawls and Amp are my favorites though. Water Joe is good too. But try to avoid the caffeine pills though ,those'll knock ya down good. Three(highly energetic) cheers for caffeine! |

Triathletes in the sport say that Red Bull is puke. They mostly all say that it tastes like crap.

Red Bull is okay..but its got too much aftertaste...It IS ADDICTIVE THOUGH. Try going without it for a week or two and try it again and you will hate its taste.
You see...I usually group energy drinks by their class. One is with taurine and ginseng etc...usually they are "fruity" or citrus but get that weird aftertaste. Ex: Monster, Red Bull, Full Throttle Then theres pure caffeine: Jolt, Bawls, etc... Those that kick like an energy drink but taste like soda kind of. I guess Vault and Surge too. I mean...theres a million ways to group em' but the biggest differences are if they contain other things besides caffeine. Usually they contain more than caffeine. I prefer the purity of Bawls and Jolt but I also enjoy Full throttle. |

These "power drinks" are not helpful at all. Many of them contain ridiculous amounts of caffeine and non-FDA approved stimulants. In fact, it may be counter-productive. The caffeine will keep you from relaxing and the stimulants will keep you from focusing. It's just plain bad.
