just wondering about the use of a construct...
Wouldn't it be possible to make a sort of umbrella with the use of a force bubble?
So you stay dry when it's raining Smile
I seriously hate rain so it would be cool if it was possible Razz

Yup, psionic "umbrella" and a warm layer of air to dry my clothing quickly are two of my favorite constructs for bad weather. I've only practed the umbrella a few times with limited success, as I really enjoy the rain. The "umbrella" concept actually works quite well when it's snowing, as all you have to is whirl enough warm air around to keep the snow from landing on you. More for idle amusement than actual usefulness, but I've had better luck with that one.

Oh, if it's misty out, you can put a teeny shield around the lenses of your glasses. I've switched to contacts now so I've not done it in a while, but it was a life-saver during fall soccer games!

If you can think it, it's possible.
(I always find that misleading, as possibility equals neither probability nor ease.)

Neat construct idea for all. It goes with #3 of the first post, making a construct to store energy. Make sure to do it RIGHT before bed, and trigger it to the next touch. Place it on your alarm clock, and go to sleep. I've found that if you make it strong enough, with your own energy, it lets you sleep easier and wake up more refreshed.

This is coming from a guy who has gone two days without sleep multiple times on caffiene and energy from a forest, though.

could you have some kinda "Slave construct"

which is programmed to think for itself, i.e. if your thinking of making a shield, it can be programmed to know what to do (gather enough energy for you to be manipulated and formed into a shield)

it would take shit loads of programming to do.
- self sustaining
- program the actions it should take when you think of collecting psi
- program it to link itself to your mind, and perform the actions you tell it to

its really hard to explain, but im hoping you get the jist of it. basically it does the work for you.

i might try this for myself *sets aside a cupla hours of evening*

Wouldn't that be in the area of a psi-pet?

One I randomly dreamed up today while brushing a carpet:
Shove some energy into the brush/hoover/broom and program it to suck out a tiny amount of energy from your arm and push it down through the bristles onto the floor. If you can scan well enough you can see where you've been and where you've not. Useful for cleaning, maybe even for tagging someone to leave a trail to follow at a later time later. I haven't tried it much, it was just a passing thought, I was more concentrating on the brushing itself really...

And the umbrella one, I've done that in the rain a bit, pushes some away, but can't beat a good ol' physical one yet ;D

Yes. Insects flew away as soon as they got near the edge of the shield.

That's awsome!
I get the feeling muskitos duel eachother over a place in my room at night.
It would be totally awsome to keep 'm away with a shield Smile
