well i see the problem you were bored with algebra then tried to make a psi-ball and you weren't really focused on anything at that moment so you couldn't do it

the most logical reason is that it was too loud. i practice at school just because its the most conveinient time. dont worry just keep on trying to gather psi and make psi balls you will be able to eventully. it took me about 3 days to get used to the noise level.
