What does one do when one is claustrophobic? What does one do if there is a fear of being closed in by his own shield and unable to breathe?
Just theoretical questions that many "could" be dealing with. Suggest some ideas (or concepts) to keep one relatively relaxed about building a shield around themselves in the above mentioned situation. |

Visualize the shield as being permeable to air and nothing else, perhaps? |

Well, first realise that a shield won't block air unless it's programmed with psychokinesis.
As for the claustrophobia, make sure the shield is quite big and perhaps flexible. A bubble shield is probably best. I get really claustrophobic in marshmallow shields and such. |

I sometimes make my "woven". that makes them flexible, and kind-of permeable to air (i make my so that no psi can get though though). If you suddenly get the feeling of claustrophoba, there is always grounding. |

I say you should realize that the shield you create is really just like your skin it is part of you and will not stop you at all from doing just about anything you could normaly do |

I hate the idea of a shield around my body. Someone shakes my hand, and there in my shield. Channel the Psi threw there arm, and it would bypass the shield.
Shield your mind, not your brain, but your thoughts. No need to worry of it being bypassed, or you being closed in. Besides, it seems like it being outside of your body is only a medifore(sp) for it shielding you. Most attacks are aimed at your mind. |

Confusion: This is why we generally make shields one-way, and we program it not to be affected by such things.
Shielding the mind doesn't seem too effective, since I'm pretty sure you sense energy elsewhere, then your brain interprets it. I don't know, just my opinion. If it works, then I take it back. EDIT: Shielding the mind sounds uncomfortable. |
